Live at the Rock Palace

In 1966/67, two folk groups were launched in Duisburg: "Les Autres" by Peter Bursch and "Willi and Jenny" by Willi Kissmer.

In 1969, the band "Bröselmaschine" emerged from the merger of the two rivaling bands. In the 1970s, they became famous throughout Germany for their psychedelic folkrock. The group - which in its early days cohabited as a commune - published the LP "Bröselmaschine" in 1971 and dissolved the band in 1973.

In 1974, there was a first reunion (again with Willi), which showed the band in various ensembles until the 80s, so once with Helge Schneider on the keyboards. Willi was also present during the next two LPs - "Peter Bursch and the Bröselmaschine" (1976), "I feel fine" (1978) - before he left the group in 1980 to devote himself entirely to painting.

After almost 20 years, the band - again with Willi Kissmer - was revived in 2005 for a performance at the "Rockpalast", a well-known German TV production. A few songs from that gig are included in the 2008 "Live" CD. Since the 2010s, Willi has only been a guest at Bröselmaschine performances and currently plays with the blues-session-band "Peter Driessen and the Instant Blues Band". The following audio examples give an impression of their music.
